What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "I’m having a hysteroscopy D&C and a laparoscopy procedure soon."
I am a 23 year old female, never had kids/ miscarriages/ abortions. I have always had heavy periods with clots, painful bloating, and periods that are 7 days, they are regular (like clockwork). I recently had a pap done and everything came back normal (no lesions).. I also had a vaginal ultrasound, no masses were seen but there were cysts on my ovaries as well as a thick uterine lining. I was told I need these procedures because my uterus lining is 11.84. I am nervous of the results of the procedures. Any advice?
