My experience : Passing clots on continuous use low dose pills?

I’ve been on some variation of Loestrin for close to 10 years(just tuned 34). The last 5 years or so, I’ve used it continuously. Taking breaks only once or twice a year, since I haven’t been sexually active so no risk of pregnancy.

However this last year I’ve been spotting more, and this last month I’ve had a constant heavy brown discharge that switches to bleeding then back to the brown discharge off and on with no rhyme or reason. Then in the last 2 days or so I’ve been dropping huge clots.

My understanding of BC is that I shouldn’t even be building up that much lining while on the pill, which is why a lot of women have lighter shorter periods while on the pill. And I’ve certainly never had this issue in prior years.

I’ve always suspected endometriosis(reason I was on the pill was for heavy irregular periods that could last months) but does this point further towards it?

Obviously going to be making an appointment, but could something else be causing this change in how the pill is working?
