i got prescribed junel fe 1/20 recently, and my doctor said that it wouldn’t reach peak effectiveness til after 3 months of consistent use. 🫢 but i looked it up and it says that it’s effective almost immediately after use. which is true?

can anyone who’s taken/taking junel 1/20 tell me about their experiences with this pill? this is my first time on any birth control and i’m a little nervous especially since it’s a hormonal birth control. from my understanding everyone’s body reacts differently.
