My experience : Started my pills during ovulation, now I’m confused about the process

I am taking combination pills and I am on my second week now however I started when I was at ovulating. I keep see it be mentioned that you should start while you’re on period, am I still protected? Additionally I had the 28 day pack brown pills as the last week, im going to have my period while taking the yellow pills so do I keep taking it? And when I have to take the brown placebo pills after my period is already over is that also alright?
