My experience : IUD comparison help
I’m getting my IUD replaced this week (no complications, it’s just expired) and I’m conflicted on which one to get. Any advice would be appreciated!! Some info:
- I currently have Kyleena, it’s been fine. (Please don’t tell me I’m being dramatic, but I live in the South, and have a pretty real concern that within 5 years (Kyleena length) birth control could be seriously limited or outlawed, so I’m thinking about getting a longer lasting version.
- I’m trying to get off hormones.
These 2 things have me leaning towards Paragard, but I’ve heard the most negatives about that one. The Mirena could be fine, but I’ve heard it’s most likely to stop your period and I would like to still have one.
Thanks!
